After months and months of planning and research we’ve finally found the trailer that’s right for us.
We initially felt that a smaller trailer would be in our best interest. As first time trailer owners – going too big is a concern. The conundrum there is we’re looking to live in this trailer for months out of the year, so going too small is also something we’d like to avoid.
At last however, months and months of research later, it appears a 24-25 foot trailer is just about the perfect size for us. This size trailer offers multiple rooms, a full kitchen, a full bathroom, and the necessary storage space to bring items on board and truly feel at home.
It’s a trailer, not a fifth wheel, so it’s still able to be towed by an SUV.
We’ve also settled on a floor plan, as the rear lounge is definitely the right model for us. It’s wide open and roomy – perfect for us. The separate living quarters is definitely a plus, as I’m likely to annoy my fiance at times, and she’ll love the space!
So, it’s settled, a 24 or 25 foot rear lounge trailer.
There are several manufacturers on our radar. We’ll ultimately select the make and model that we trust the most.
